Dr. Andrew Worthen is a consultant based in Seattle, Washington who practices in the fields of chemical engineering and materials science.  He often serves as a construction defect expert witness, where he leads large investigations of plastic pipe, adhesives, paints and coatings, and more.  He specializes in utilizing scientific principles and analytical techniques to understand the behavior of materials and the processes by which they are made.

His consulting work includes product development, intellectual property protection, and failure analysis, as well as support of recalls and legal disputes.  He has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a licensed Professional Engineer in California, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
