Dr. Worthen's research focuses on the design and application of polymer and colloidal formulations.  He is particularly interested in the intersection of colloid science and polymer physics, grounded in the fundamentals of chemical engineering.  The desire to understand why formulations perform as they do, especially when unexpected behaviors are observed, drives his curiosity and often leads to new discoveries.
